The Aboriginal Sport Circle (ASC)
ASC is a non-profit corporation that acts as a voice for Aboriginal sport. ASC was founded in 1995 and 10 years after its founding, several other local sporting federations have become ASC members.
As a result, it has become an umbrella group in terms of Aboriginal sport in Canada.

National Aboriginal Role Models Program
This program, backed by the National Aboriginal Health Organization, is funded by Health Canada.
It highlights the achievements of Aboriginal youth and was developed to help them pursue their dreams.

David Gill
Proud of his origins, David Gill can be considered as a model, not just for the youth of Mashteuiatsh. He leads both his sport career and his studies in giving the necessary energies to both areas. His trainer says that he has all the qualities of a champion.
For his studies, he goes to Cégep Lawrence of Québec city. All his time is dedicated to his studies and his sport. This is the life of an athlete.

Pierre Gill
Pierre Gill, the father of David, has always supported his son. In this tv show, he explains why he pushed his son to use his physical skill and his passion for running to open the doors to sport and professional world.

Mélissa Launière
Mélissa Launière is a physical education teacher and is the sports' manager at the Kassinu Mamu School. Located in Mashteuiatsh, this Montagnais school has more than 100 students. Her priority is to provoke a spark to light the passion for sport that live in each of them.
She includes traditional activities to those taught in high school. Mélissa hopes her sport program will encourage the youth to excel.

Gilles Larouche
This Innu from Lac St-Jean is the school principal of Kassinu Mamu in Mashteuiatsh. He succeeded to transfer the high school program to Mashteuiatsh.
For a few years now, educational, sport and cultural programs are including Innu culture. And for a moment, models of successful athlete from the community are appearing and giving the sense of pride to young people. Runner David Gill is an example. For Gilles Larouche, youth education is a vocation.
