Economic development is a priority to First Nations' youth who claim the cooperation of their leaders. Training, counselling and support are provided to them until they become strong entrepreneurs, confident about their future.
In most First Nations' communities, three quarter of the population is under 35 years old. Understandably, they are eager to create modern enterprises that will enable them to live with dignity on their traditional territories. Nevertheless, they are aware that preserving their identity as a member of a First Nation is vital. This is why, by staying respectful of the traditional expertise and of their history, they integrate their identity in their professional activities as much as possible.
They are the future leaders, educators and entrepreneurs of our communities. Young entrepreneurs, who lived outside of their communities, are also motivated to start up businesses that reflect their inborn talents, while also meeting the needs of clients on their communities.
