Laughing
Narration (laughing.mp3, 723 KB)
Making fun of ourselves and of others has been for ages a human activity. If we don’t have the sense of humour, we can easily be offended of simple jokes and our relationships with others will be “irritating”!
Humour is a form of creativity that helps us to survive during the worst conditions. Laughing is breathing haltingly, an exercise that relieves our pectoral muscles and brain. Laughing easily, joking around and having fun for native people are rather old practices. Like people say, this is a cultural trait!
Still today, the usual image of the native man, this noble savage, is of a severe character: head raised, hard look, sealed lips and arms firmly folded on his chest. Perhaps he is waiting for someone to break this statue made of stone showing no emotions! Those who succeeded have become friends… forever.
